Project Overview:

DCFL was contracted by the Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) to relocate transmission cables at the Chickasaw site. This complex project required specialized techniques to address challenging site conditions, including muck removal, dewatering, and precise demolition and reconstruction efforts.
Scope of Work: 
The Chickasaw OUC Transmission Cable Relocation project included:​​​​​
  • Site Preparation and Grading:

    • Demucked the site, removing over 800 cubic yards of unsuitable material.

    • Over 1,900 cubic yards of clean fill were imported to stabilize and prepare the site for further work.

  • Asphalt Demolition and Replacement:

    • Demolished and replaced over 100 square yards of asphalt to restore the site to its original condition post-construction.

  • Dewatering and Trench Safety:

    • Dewatered the site to safely access the transmission cables and ensure trench stability during excavation and construction activities.
